NANAL is derived from a beautiful Tamil word which means a type of lengthy grass which is strong and flexible to write, வளைந்து கொடுத்து எழுத உதவும் உறுதியான புல். NANAL is a Nagarathar Magazine which is considered the FACE of Nagarathar Sangam of North America. It is one of the most important mediums to communicate with our fellow Nagarathars.
Mission:
Glorify the traditional and cultural values of the Nagarathar Community and seed the values strongly in the heart and minds of the younger generation through WORDS. Words have power to inspire and NANAL’s mission is to take that power of inspiration and Nagarathar values to every home.
Vision:
We strive to be one of the best and favorite magazine of the Nagarathar Community, inspiring the readers with positivity, extraordinary content and entertainment. Our vision is also to make the readers better understand the faith and values of the Nagarathar tradition and culture whilst promoting the future of our community based on our Michigan theme of "நகரத்தார் பண்பாடும் வளமான வருங்காலமும்".
Goals and Objectives:
Every region publishes 3 NANAL magazines per year and 6 magazines over the period of two years.
The Motor City NANAL team is very delighted and exhilarated about the issuance of six editions of NANAL. We have a highly passionate and efficient team who are very eager to bring enthralling contents to our NSNA readers. Our wonderful team consists of dynamic adults & energetic youth Nagarathars, who both contribute hand in hand in the design of NANAL. We are excited to bring you an array of fascinating articles and insights into a variety of topics that we believe will engage and inspire you. We will always strive to provide high quality content that is both informative and at the same time entertaining. NANAL is more than a magazine as it serves as a link that binds all the fellow North American Nagarathars together. Our team will continue to strengthen the bonds by providing inspiring content to motivate our youth Nagarathars and stay close to our customs and values. To reiterate and resonate the fact that youth Nagarathars are our future, we plan to feature more articles and content that will inspire and educate our young adults on Nagarathar customs and culture.
We are thrilled to introduce a few new sections from our Michigan region to make it more interesting for the readers.
The Chutties Corner, formerly Mini NANAL, encourages and motivates our kids to bring out their creativity. We have added a different flavor and perspective to this section.
In the modern world, social media has taken us all by storm and has now become an integral part of our life. Social media has facilitated the creation of virtual communities. Keeping in sync with that, we are excited to introduce the Instagram page and Facebook page for our NANAL Magazine. We will use this platform to increase the youth connectivity to our culture and happenings. We have revived the NSNA YouTube channel with NANAL related videos.

We encourage our youth Nagarathars to actively participate in the NANAL magazine.
